Who does not know Green Canyon, a tourist spot called Green Canyon which was popularized by a Frenchman in 1993. However, Sundanese call Green Canyon Cukang Taneuh or Landbrug in Indonesian. The name Green Canyon is also a play on the name Grand Canyon in Colorado, United States. Located in Kertayasa Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency, 31 km from Pangandaran. Shaped like a canyon formed by soil erosion due to the flow of the Cijulang River over millions of years, it penetrates a cave with impressive stalactites and stalagmites and is flanked by two rocky hills and dense trees that offer unique and challenging natural attractions. To get to this place we have to rent a rowing boat at the Ciseureuh quay. The drive to Green Canyon takes about 30-45 minutes with a distance of about 3 km. The boat costs IDR 200,000 for up to 5 people and operates every day from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM WIB. On the way, our eyes feast on the calm green color of the river water. There is a Palatar waterfall at the entrance of the cave, so the atmosphere in this tourist spot is very cold. Activities include rock climbing, swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing. To reach this place, tourists can use the boats that are widely available at the Ciseureuh pier, both outboard and pedal-powered. This tourist attraction is adjacent to the Batu Karas tourist attraction and Nusawiru Airport.
