MINIATURE OF THE MAKKAH IN THE CITY OF PADANG INDONESIA,

 

NUR ZIKRILLAH Mosque is a religious tourist spot often referred to as a miniature city of Mecca. This location is located in Lubuk Minturun, Padang City. This area was formerly known as an agrotourism area with beautiful views of the hills and became a natural bathing tourist attraction. But now it has its own interesting religious place to visit. When you are in this place, you will be met with a view like in the land of Mecca. Because this mosque building looks like a place of worship for Muslims in Saudi Arabia. At the entrance gate there is a monument of Al-Qur'an as at the entrance to Mecca, but here it is smaller. Inside the mosque building is a miniature of the Kaaba, a black cloth covering ordered directly from Mecca. Visitors will be surprised to see various other places such as Mina Tunnel, Marwa Hill and Syafa etc. In the middle of this tourist area there is a bridge with 3 monuments to throw Jamarah. At the beginning of the inauguration of this mosque in 2001 there were also several camels here, but due to the cool climate unlike the desert, the two camels died.

Although privately owned, this site is open to the public because it is used for pilgrimage rituals. Only the price of 5000 IDR makes us feel like we are in the city of Mecca. This place is open every day and during Eid festivities it is always full of visitors coming from both inside and outside of Padang city.
